Help measuring small dc currents with clamp?
Hi
I need to measure the load of a machine. The motor I wish to monitor under load will pull between 0.2 to 0.6 of an amp. However it is dc and 24volt. Can this be done without going in series?
The motor is supplied by a controller with a 115v ac supply. would it be possible to measure this or would it be too small to measure either by way of a clamp or some sort of plug in watt meter?
Thanks

Clampmeters are AC only. A DC ammeter in series with the motor is your best solution.
