No, I don't. Just get the book and learn - this forum is for advice only!
A plate will be more sensitive than an aerial.

hi Richard I would sooner make them my self but unsure were to put these items on a board would I get a board and cut it down to size thank you ATB Phil.

update and a thanks for all your help I have now built my first ghost detector from scratch it took a bit to find the bits I needed but so pleased I soldered it all by my self :)
