Brken disco ball 240V/10A plug

Post by mdcarlile » Sat Jan 18, 2014 9:40 pm

Hi folks,
One of my childrens newest, favourite and most fragile toys has a broken earth pin on the plug.
This unit was made with a molded plug. How would i replace it with a like for like "normal" plug.
I thought i would just cut the cable and then fit a new plug - but the details on the plug say 240V/10A.
Which I haven't seen before.
Any suggestions.
Cheers
Mark

Just go ahead and replace it with a "normal" good quality plug with the same fuse as the original. What size fuse is it out of curiosity?

Before you do anything can you post up what the plug has written on it? Mains in kids toys isn't the best idea in the world!! I wouldn't be surprised if it is some sort of wall-wart transformer plug.
