HELLP NEEDED WITH CORRECT FUSE RATINGS ATX PSU TO LAB PSU
Hi, please could some kind soul help me with correct fuse ratings to protect the atx psu
when connected to electical items. Picture is attached.
I:E if any attached items, go bad , I need the fuse to blow instead of the atx psu continuing to
give loads of current.

The power supply itself should be protected against overloads and short circuits - I know I've accidentally shorted an output before (don't ask how!) and the PSU simply shut off. Admittedly I don't know if this is affected if you tie the PS_On line to GND as I imagine you have done.
That said, I would suggest some extra protection, especially if your current requirements are considerably less than those the PSU is capable of supplying. A short on a connected circuit could cause a large current to flow, destroying the circuit and possibly melting thin connecting wires or even causing a fire.
Unless the circuit you are powering (including the supply wires) is already protected, I'd fit fuses of slightly higher rating than the expected current required. Ideally use anti-surge types to prevent switch on surges blowing them as capacitors charge etc. Basically the fuses are to protect the load and connecting wiring, rather than the PSU itself, so rate them accordingly.
