LED Resistors

Hi

I need some advice on LED resistors. I have a LED colour change garden light kit which I'm trying to intergrate with another home built kit. The home built runs at 12v full output with the correct resistors mounted within the light fitting PCB, but the shop bought kit has an output of 5v (obviously the voltages range 0-5/0-12 to run the RGB Leds).

I need to work out the resistors value per RGB channel to achieve the 5v max for the shop bought led fittings. I have susbsituted the shop bought controller for the home built one as it will handle more LEDs and will acheive the lighting design I'm trying to acheive.

Any advice gratefully received.
