Sounds like the CRT, maybe the cause was the cap but it sounds like its the CRT now.

Have a look at the battery and it should say its voltage and Ah.

I have heard of this scam and it is a scam.

Don't buy the manual because it does not exist.

They sell a lot of manuals but don't send any.

That could have been black wire on the capacitor.

It looks like one blue goes to the same side of the connector as the black wire on the connector and the other blue goes to the red.

You could test continuity with a multi meter if in doubt.

You just need a PWM motor controller to control the current, not sure if you can get 1.5 or 3v PWM controllers but if you can it would work. Search 1.5 PWM controller or 3v PWM controller or step up to 6v PWM controller if need be. You can defiantly get 12v PWM controllers and put 12 batts in series.
