Paid project work / time and materials

Hello forum members / electronics enthusiasts,

I have a requirement for some components for a prototype product. Please have a look at the general outline below and let me know if you are interested. This could well lead to an on-going engagement with an innovative product; you will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement before any in-depth discussions begin or before undertaking any work. The project will require face to face meetings; I am based in London, but I will travel to progress the project / pay travel expenses if I find the right person.

Ideally I am looking for the following:

You should be able to demonstrate the qualities and skills below through evidence of previous projects and / or work undertaken (on any basis including academic, professional, enthusiast)

Qualities:
Enthusiasm
Lateral thinking
Good communication skills
Neat and precise presentation of work
Soldering / Circuitry skills
A wider appreciation of product design and finish
Commitment to uncluttered design solutions
A South East England location would help but is not a show stopper

Component Requirements
The two main components are a LED cube and a Rotary power cylinder.

LED Cube (with nice to have charging cradle)
A 25mm wide plastic cube (I will provide the housing; these housing dimensions are tight but the product will only work with a component of this size)
On 5 of the sides there will be a circular portal of approximately 20mm
Out of each of the 5 portals a LED will omit light.
On the remaining side there will be access for an on / off-switch

Nice to have:
An additional toggle switch on the remaining side for changing between two or more behaviours (drawn from constant, alternate, flashing and fading light patterns).
A robust solution that will withstand a reasonable amount of movement.

Even nicer to have:
Incorporation of a rechargeable battery and the creation of a charging cradle.
For the prototype this might involve the stripping out and incorporation of the rechargeable battery from this Maplin torch (or the incorporation of similar componentry) into the LED box.

The additional charging cradle would incorporate something similar to the winding charge mechanism of the torch pictured in the above link; a temporary connection would be maintained between the LED cube’s embedded rechargeable battery and the charge mechanism while the charge is being applied – basically a mobile phone cradle for the Flintstone’s.

Considerations:
Sufficient power for the LEDs (design and expectations may need some reworking based on the power supply)
Is there enough room for the internal components? How can this constraint be overcome? Perhaps through a bespoke circuit?
Methods for securing the internal components to withstand movement.
Consideration of the use of USB recharging rather than mechanical if necessary.

Rotary power box
A 40mm diameter x 75mm high cylinder
Inside this a power supply to rotate both the top and bottom faces of the cylinder simultaneously, in the same direction – like a fixed axle.

Nice to have
Makes used of a USB rechargeable battery

Even nicer to have
Incorporation of a rechargeable battery and the creation of a charging cradle similar to the LED cube. If possible using the same charging cradle as the LED cube
Ability to steer the faces in a manner similar to standard rack and pinion.
