Hi all,

this is my first post - first of many i hope!

I'm working on a little project at the moment in my garage and i need some instructions on how i should go about calculating the power supply that i'm going to need.

for example:

there will be 8 x 12V 60mm PC fans, several LEDs, 4 x 12V 60W peltier coolers

so how abouts do a start working out what size power supply i'll need?

many thanks

You'll need at least 12V, 300W power supply!

This might do for you -->>http://www.wikihow.com/Convert-a-Comput ... wer-Supply
JUST REMEMBER NOT TO EXCEED 12V POWER OUTPUT!!!

(4 x 12V 60W) = 20 amp's + fans, most cpu PS comes at aprox 18amp's for 12V, perhaps you can give one of the (4 x 12V 60W) 10V (+/-5V)
