Anyone know of good pcb simulation software ?

I'm looking for software for PC that not only lets you simulate the construction of a pcb, but lets you know what will happen when you power it up.
It must be able to simulate a current running through the components that are placed on the virtual pcb, and give a reading at the output.
I know most of you here know what to put on a pcb before you start, but I posted a request for some help on an ac to dc converter which no-one was able to help with, so I'd like to try on my own but in the safety of a simulated circuit.
