Hi,

Thanks for creating the EA tool. I find it very useful, but could I suggest adding a capacitor colour code calculator to it? I come across quite a bit of 80s and 90s hi-fi radio, TV and amplifier gear with capacitors in the resistor form factor (i.e. cylindrical caps) in both 1/4 watt and 1/8 watt resistor type sizes with five colour bands. It would be great to be able to save the time that the resistor colour code calculator saves when needing to quickly check the value and tolerance of colour coded caps.

That would be a really useful addition. Those resistor-style capacitors still show up quite often in older audio and TV equipment, and decoding the five-band colors manually is easy to get wrong. Having a capacitor colour code calculator alongside the resistor one would save a lot of time.文字数 カウント

Hi Adam, thanks for the suggestion. A capacitor colour code calculator for these vintage components would fit nicely into the EA tool. I’ll keep it in mind for a future update.
