Looking to buy pre-crimped wires?

Post by uptown47 » Mon Aug 28, 2017 9:10 am

Hi all,

I have a coin mechanism from a fruit machine that I need to connect.

It has a 22 pin, 2-row plug and a 17 pin, 1 row plug.

I have a 22 pin plug (but no way of wiring it) and I need to buy a Amphenol 17 way MIN-PV series housing (part number 65039-020LF) with crimp connectors for 22 AWG wires (part no. 47712-001LF).

However, to buy the crimps and crimp tool is going to be extremely expensive as I only need 21 crimped wires (there's only 4 wires connected on the 22-way socket and 17 on the 17-way socket).

So I wondered if anyone on here has the necessary tools and crimps in order to make 21 crimped wires and then could post them to me (obviously I would pay for your time and materials) ?

Or does anyone know where I could buy pre-crimped wires for this type of socket. Or even where I could buy a pre-made socket?

I'm based in Fife, Scotland.

Can anyone help with any of this, it would be really appreciated

Thanks :)

I think your best bet is to look on EBay for a crimp tool - some of those on offer are less than £10. Google RS for the Amphenol socket.

Hi David,

Thanks for getting back to me. I didn't realise a crimp tool was so cheap? What should I be searching for on eBay for those ones?

I don't mind paying that for a crimp tool. The one's I'd seen were several hundred pounds?

Thanks

John :)
