Finding the Right solenoid

Hi
Im making a ball release dropper and im struggling to find a solenoid that will hold the ball in the tube. If one ball rests on the solnoid then the pull solnoid spring retracts slightly then when i load another it forces the ball through the bottom of the tube.
Anyone know what solenoid would be good for this?
I think it needs to be able to take more weight on the solenoid pin.
