Hi can anyone help. I want to make a motion or vibration switched light. It is to go into a model train. I want it to be battery powered from a 3v circular battery and to power between 1 and 10 less
The idea is that when the train moves the lights come on then when the train stops the lights need o go 5 mins

Sounds like an ideal application for a 555 timer chip. You will need to power it from two 3V bats - min supply for the 555 is 4.5 V. Make the vibration sensor from a piece of thin wire with a 6BA nut on the end, and going through the hole in a horizontally mounted washer.

Something like a magnet and a coil mounted on separate chassis, would give a motion sensor... A crank sensor from a car and a magnet... And the 555.
