WIRELESS LATCH SWITCH SYSTEM FOR SEAT BELT

Hi there,
Seriously new to this and looking for help.
Want to tinker around with the idea of a wireless seat belt system that if the seat belt is un-fastened a signal some how is sent to a receiver to tell the image on a purpose built app that the seat (image of seat) to be RED, if however the seat belt is fastened by the passenger that the signal received tells the app to turn the image GREEN..
It has to be simple, wireless and have it's own power supply (i.e. cell battery etc)...
Regards
NEWBIE

It is simple to wire it into a car... I assume it is for a car? A light on the dash easy peasy...Why not power from the car batt?
I have just started learning programing in C ... the next book will be C++... The plan is to design some apps and make a fortune... hmmm... do you program?
Bluetooth but you need to be smart.

No a coach, the system in the actual belt buckle itself needs to be wireless and programmed to send a signal to the iPad / iPhone / Android showing that the seat belt is secure with the seat number on it. The app will show a layout of the coach and will show the seats in either green (secure) or red (unsecure)..
I don't program - sorry..

MOT hmmm... The inside of the seat belt catch in my car is earthed to the car body... a posetive contactwhich conects the metal bit of the belt... the clip bit, to earth via some simple circuit would give an apropreate signal ... or some sort of magnetic aspect to the switch to save drilling holes in the catch... could be done but I will have to think about it MOT hmmm...
A digi box which switches green or red LED's on or off on the dash 2 LED's for each belt is easy...
The app bit and wireless bits are tricky.

Surely some seatbelts have built in switches which light lights on the dash, may be you should invest in some new belt couplings (couplings = the bit which bolts to the floor) MOT...

I can understand where you are coming from , but ideally the entire set up needs to be encased within the buckle.
I've already toyed with magnetic's etc for security and this probably will be the best solution.
I'ts actually creating the basic's of it when it's so simple.

I should think you could buy the dash system and the catch (catch = the bit that bolts to the floor into which the clip clips)
either new or from a coach/bus braker yard.
It would be poss to magnetize the clip and stick a reed switch to the outside of the catch, opeate it with its own cell or what ever, perhaps passengers would distroy it in a few secs... puting the switch and other bits inside the catch ... MOT... I look at the catch on my car and think... I would not crack it open or the car will fail... off to the scrappies for a new catch. You would also need a pressure switch, or some such in the seat so that no lights are on when the seat is empty.
It is poss to bluetooth to the dash and transmit to the world from there but... you need some skill to do it.
There are lots of companies online who will design apps for money (google make an app) The breaker yard, although expensive seems the cheapest option.
