scart lead hack

Hello,
I am attempting to connect my xbox to a hantarex polo 2-25. I using the scart lead and are splitting the wires to connect them to the monitor. I have done the appropriate rgb and earth wires but am unsure of what to do with the function switching wire as this is not needed? also I have vertical wavy lines on the monitor which I have been told is an earthing problem? is this correct? how do I earth pin 21?
