Capacitance Unit Convert page maths error?

Post by Dynamo Barber » Wed Jul 04, 2018 10:46 pm

Hello there.

I'd like to let you know that I'm seeing some weird conversion value responses on the Capacitance Unit Convert page (https://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/ ... verter.php).

If I convert 100, 200, 400, 800 or 900 NF to MF, the answer isn't totally correct.

For example,
100nf turns into 0.09999999999999999u Farads
200nf turns into 0.19999999999999998u Farads
400nf turns into 0.39999999999999997u Farads, so on and so forth with two other example values.

300, 500, 600 and 700 don't seem to have this fractional issue. This also does not seem to happen on 10, 20, 40, 80 or 90 or 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000 or 9000 values

I haven't really tried anything else beyond these values or units.

Thanks for this excellent website!

Thanks, I'll take a look when I get a chance and see what is going on.
