Hi all,
I have come into possesion of a Search Guard 1,000,000 Candle Power Spotlight. the problem I have is that there is not a mains adaptor with it. I was given it by a neighbour who found it when searching through some old boxes.
Does anybody know what the input to the spotlight should be volt and amp wise?

Thanks,
Gerald

A look at Google will find lots of spotlights offering various amounts of light (look at these figures with a pinch of salt). See if you can find anything which looks like your torch. If so, check out what PSUs (wall warts) you have about. They will usually be marked with the output voltage. Don't use any (at this stage) which do not have a DC output. To start with, 5VDC should not damage any torch, and if all goes well, but the light source is rather dim, try a 9Vdc supply.

This website has a very useful "Pin-outs" section which will give you info about what connectors mate with others.

Have a look at the battery and it should say its voltage and Ah.
I had something similar with a 12v input socket so could plug it into the car.
