How to provide Over current protection in a power supply?

Hello!

you can connect a transistor base emmiter junction across series resistor. When the voltage across the series resistor reaches 0.7 volts the relay connected to collector will operate. If this 0.7 volt drop isnot permissable then this circuit canbe used.

Is this to be an add-on to a proprietary power supply, or one you have built? Do you have circuit diagrams? What are the output voltages, and the limiting current you wish to achieve?

This is not normally a difficult matter to implement, but more details please!
