Novice part finding

Postby haik4096 » Wed Dec 02, 2009 9:22 am

With a maplins nearby, I tend to use them for component purchases but their staff are as useful as their websearch tool. It seems if I don't have their part number, they're unable to cross-reference it.

I'm currently after an IC 3140, a transistor 2n3704 and a 100nf capacitor - all of which I'm told "we don't list or stock them" which I find hard to believe.

I can find some on ebay but they're either in lots due to their low value or the postage is many times higher than the value.

Any other suggestions please?
