Hi peeps,

I have the following;

Mini Amp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261035396741?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_7209wt_1163 like this one
2 x 3.5 mm Mono Chassis Socket like this http://www.maplin.co.uk/3.5mm-monochassis-socket-1152
2 x 4ohm speakers each with single 3.5 mm mono plug
1 x 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable (PC sound card to mini amp)
1 x 12V DC power supply

I have wired up the on/off rocket switch so the unit turns on and off and I have tried to wire up the L/R +/- outputs on the green connectors to the 3.5mm sockets, but I cant get any sound out of the speakers, so I guess I have wired up the sockets wrong. The sockets have 3 loop connectors and a tip connector.

I am kack at electronics, but really want to get this mini amp working, it only cost a few quid, but its needed to boost my speaker output (which is low at the moment)

My question is ... which loop connectors do I wire up for + and which for - and I guess, do I need to buy anything else to make it work?

Success. It must have been the 3.5mm chassis sockets. I have removed the mono plugs from the speakers and wired them direct to the green terminals on the amp board and I get sound!!!!

Regards

Mike.
