Mini din 8 pin to RJ45 - How do I make one?

Postby ljk-wxm » Sun May 13, 2012 10:43 pm

Hello,

Not much knowledge, I'm afraid, so I'm asking the experts.

I have a mini din 8 pin cable with male connector on one end and Green Black Red White Yellow leads on the other.

a. What do these colour codes represent?

b. I want an RJ45 female socket on the other end. How can I do this please? Preferably without soldering :)

Remember I don't have much knowledge.

The cable connects to the VISCA OUT port of a SONY EVI D70 camera and I want to use a Cat5 cable to extend its length.

Any ideas?
